The Institute of Legal and Policy Research (ILPR) was virtually established on 1 January 2022 and has since evolved into a prominent think tank for Afghanistan. Operating as a non-profit, impartial, and independent institution, our primary mission is to cultivate research, refine policies, and encourage robust public discourse on matters impacting public life in Afghanistan. We take pride in being the pioneer Virtual NGO in the country, utilizing online platforms to operate efficiently. Our use of technology extends beyond communication, encompassing digital literacy initiatives. As an NGO that heavily relies on virtual collaboration and remote work, our team members and volunteers are dispersed across diverse geographic locations, effectively communicating and coordinating their efforts through online channels.

Our group comprises of legal professionals who recognize the profound impact legal knowledge can have on individuals' lives. In a world where the legal system often appears complex and daunting, we identify the need for accessible, accurate, and understandable legal information. ILPR brings together Afghanistan's most distinguished intellectuals, policy experts, and individuals who deeply engage in both research and policy formulation. Drawing from diverse academic and professional fields, these minds collaboratively engage in advanced research on a spectrum of policy-relevant issues, particularly those that confront Afghanistan in the 21st century. Through our research initiatives and policy-shaping role, we work closely with the policymakers to carry Afghanistan forward to frame a modernized policy framework. While we fervently nurture scholarly brilliance, we remain impartial on matters of contention.
